FAQ’s A list of our most asked questions.  If you have additional questions you may always contact us.
Is Pre-Registration required to attend the event? Yes Pre-Registration is required.  We must account for the amount of attendees to facilitate the event because it is an all inclusive event. Does WindRock Park have something for drivers of all skill levels? Yes.  WindRock Park had trails to accommodate novice through advanced drivers, people of all skill levels will enjoy WindRock Park. I have a stock vehicle, can I attend the event? Yes, but 4WD is recommended along with a minimum of 30” tires. Is this a Toyota vehicle only event? This event is geared primarily for Toyota vehicles, but other makes are welcome. Could the event be canceled because of weather? The event will be held RAIN OR SHINE. Is there any specific recovery gear or supplies required in WindRock Park during the event? The only equipment required to attend the event is a fire extinguisher, type does not matter.  A well stocked recovery kit, along with some food and water is always recommended for any off-road adventure.  Things we recommend for a trip to WindRock are enough food and water for each day, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, full size spare tire and appropriate tire changing equipment, tire repair plugs, recovery strap, remote air device or compressor, basic tool kit, and a spare vehicle key.  Anyone reading this who is feeling overwhelmed, don’t worry there will be plenty of support in WindRock Park during the event. Is a CB radio or VHF radio required for the event? They are not mandatory, but it is HIGHLY recommended.  They will be used for communications inside WindRock Park. Is this a family friendly event? Yes.  We encourage families to attend our event, all ages are welcome. Is this a dog friendly event? Yes, but WindRock Park requires your dog(s) to be leashed at all times, anywhere inside of the park or campground, this rule will strongly be enforced.  Also, continuous loud barking after 11:00pm in the camping/lodging area will result in eviction.  Dogs that are not dog-friendly or kid-friendly should be kept at home.  If you are staying in one of the cabins, they also ask to keep your pets crated if they are not properly house trained. Is food provided or available during the event? Yes.  Dinner is included with your event pass purchase, for the Friday and Saturday night events.  Snacks are available for purchase at the WindRock General Store and meals are available for purchase at The Chuck Wagon located at the General Store.  Dining locations are available 15 minutes away in Oak Ridge, for a sit down meal. There are also several food delivery options available for your convenience, if you would like a listing please visit the campground main office during regular operating hours and they have flyer’s available.  Is a camp-site included with an event pass? Yes, but only if you select the “Group Camping” option during the Registration process.  If you choose the camping option, please keep in mind you will only be allowed to camp inside the Special Event Group Camping Area. Is Wi-Fi or cellular service available? Wi-Fi service is available at the Campground Main Office.  This is a rural mountainous area, cellular service is very limited inside WindRock Park. Are alcoholic beverages allowed at the event? Per WindRock regulations, alcoholic beverages are ONLY allowed inside the private event area and camping/lodging areas.  Alcoholic beverages are NOT permitted inside of WindRock Park, anyone caught consuming alcohol on a Trail, or operating a vehicle impaired, will be barred from WindRock Park. Is there a cancellation policy? We can accept cancellations up till June 30th with a 30% cancellation fee.  Due to costs already incurred we cannot accept any cancellations after June 30th, 2017.
